I disliked Heathcliff and thought Catherine was a wimp.
I have been inspired by your Image Bank work. I am glad we can work together to accumulate the Swinburne images for the future.
I agree ... Catherine was pathetic. She made all the wrong choices, and ruined (at least) four lives in the process.
Heathcliff on the other hand ... fascinating! But very scary. Olivier was perfect for the role. I can't think of any modern actor who would play it so well.
Such an incredible novel; so far ahead of its time. To think that such violence and debauchery was conceived by the mind a sheltered young girl who never left the Yorkshire moors!
